Wiesbaden (dinosaur environment) - The largest number of dinosaur skeletons, a single genus was discovered in 1947 in a mass grave near the so-called "Ghost Ranch in New Mexico. In this place they found the remains of about a hundred specimens of Coelophysis dinosaur genus from the Triassic period more than 210 million years ago. Coelophysis was a nimble thief, with a weight of approximately 30 kilograms.
Most dinosaur skeletons of a species in Germany came in 1911-1932 Trossingen, east of Villingen-Schwenningen, Baden-Württemberg to light. There, they found many complete skeletons and various parts of the skeleton Plateosaurus that because of its frequent occurrence in Baden-Württemberg also was dubbed a "Swabian dragon".
Most dinosaur skeletons of a species in Belgium were discovered in a coal mine of Bernissart. This one has recovered in 1877/78 322 meters depth numerous skeletal remains of plant-eating dinosaur Iguanodon.
